Growing up I was extremely fortunate that I had a mother who was confident and able to introduce me to the basics of skincare and makeup. That early education was then reinforced through many years of Grooming, Deportment and Modelling. I have been involved in educating young people and mature ladies, on those essential basics since I was 16 years old, with my own Grooming, Deportment and Modelling branches.
Qualifying as a professional MUA over 20 years ago and working in all facets of the industry ever since. I have had the privilege in sharing my experience and knowledge to many. A lecturer and program developer for TAFE WA and other private RTO’s for nearly 14 years; I have been involved in delivering, assessing and developing programs in Makeup Artistry and Beauty Therapy.
It is the passion that I have, for people to feel confident and comfortable within their own skin, that I am now offering a personalized service to you the “individual”. Whether you are new to makeup, or feel you need a new “signature look” for where you are in life; let Makeup Art & Direction customize a workshop to suits your needs, time and budget.

Sometimes it’s a little daunting to ask those burning questions when sitting in the makeup chair or visiting the local makeup counter by yourself. I can guarantee from experience the questions you have in regard to skincare and makeup, are very similar to those of your best friend or the neighbour next door.
Share in the experience of a customized workshop to discover the answers in the comfort of your own home, over a few nibbles and maybe a drink or two.
Workshops are to be delivered in the comfort of your own home; from a qualified, experienced lecturer and professional freelance makeup artist. Current Working with Children clearance.

After much demand I am now offering workshops with the young teen in mind.
Experimenting with makeup for the first time is daunting enough, and then there's the influence of magazines & YOUTUBE videos.
Choose from ONE of three 2hr. workshops, that cover the theory and a hands-on approach for all levels of skill.
Get together with your friends (min of 4, max of 6) and learn the basics right, from the way you look after your skin through to the final touches of your lip colour.
Makeup and tools will be provided to use throughout these workshops but bring along those bits & bobs you already own and learn how to use them right.

I have had the pleasure of being a Lecturer and Program developer for TAFE WA and other private RTO’s for nearly 13 years. Meeting the demands of the job, unpacking and developing assessment & delivery materials which align with the strict audit compliances. Finding ways to deliver what is not only compliant but is innovative & engaging so that students of all ages are able to reach their fullest potential.
With my Certificate 1V in Assessment and Workplace Training and the recognition on my achievements in the field of education, I have been inspired to keep developing programs customised for my clientele. Customising programs to suit a specific audience and providing a structured program content to achieve the clients desired result.
I have developed programs for numerous State & Private Secondary Education providers and local councils, including work readiness programs and personal development & wellness programs. Drawing on my experience in Grooming, Deportment and Modelling and my delivery of Certificate 11 in Retail Services, Retail Cosmetics, Makeup Artistry and Nail Technology, as well as Certificate 111 through to the Diploma in Beauty Therapy. I have been involved in developing programs that can re-engage students back into education by giving them all the confidence & passion to further their lives and seek out an exciting career or re-enter the workforce.
Makeup Art & Direction has worked with numerous corporate clients not only in Perth but regionally and interstate. Planning, developing and delivering programs that can inspire their staff to love the brand they are representing and in turn that passion is turned into sales on the floor. Working with distributers and makeup brands to deliver specialised skin care & makeup workshops aimed towards their specific needs & wants. Whether the aim is to increase sales or creating awareness of the brands they have on the floor.
Priding myself on the consultation and the importance of understanding the aim of the education I am providing; Makeup Art & Direction will provide program plans & content specifically for your business.
